I have a problem with my power steering on my B4 TDI. This indicates that the belt teeth are nearing failure or are. Hazing is when the teeth of the belt become shiny. Check the belt for cracks, chipping, peeling, or hazing. I searched the forum and didn't find a similar thread with diagnosis. Open the hood and look at the belt wrapped around the power steering pump pulley on the drivers side of the engine bay. ![]()
